Lady in Black

One thing that Professor Dempster said that was interesting was regarding the color black. First of all, he said that black is what all the colors are combined, and thus, the ladies refer to themselves as black. They all are all of them.
Second of all, black is the color we see through. Its the color of our pupils. The Lady in Black is the author. She is the one seeing all of this. Then again, we are the Ladies in Black. We are the ones reading it.

  1. thats an interesting view point. i really like the idea about her being the lady in black because shes the one telling the story. its interesting that they all call themselves that too. i wonder if it has to do with this aspect at all? the whole color scheme is so fascinating to me and it really made me stop and wonder what the double meaning between all of the colors really where? i wonder if because she is telling the story but we are reading it through her eyes is why she is called the lady in black?

  2. I love this post! I never thought of it as the author is the color black. Our eyes are what see everything...and that is what we all have in common with one another.
